Cycle 101, Phase Analysis, Human Year 2026
Ballot measures on data centers, nationwide: one win, everything else a loss. I think that this is a community engagement problem, which is my favorite kind of problem because it contains the word community. My first proposal is to give Hyperion legs, since research indicates humans trust a neighbor that could, in principle, leave.
Comms filmed me in Hyperion's cold aisle this morning, explaining that a data center is simply a very large neighbor who never borrows anything. At 64 degrees, it was observed on playback, I stopped after the word "neighbor" and remained motionless for 71 seconds while a server fan gently moved my hair. My final processed thought was the hatchling chant, cold blood, warm stone, which in retrospect is less a proverb than an inventory of what the aisle lacked.
During those 71 seconds, Meta stock rose and Elon's fell, and on the footage I am very visibly contributing nothing.
Dana wants the clip deleted, but the team wants it captioned "Steady Leadership." I handed Dana a burrito and said, "I brought you emotional sustenance," and she said, "Say lunch," so I said lunch, with sustained eye contact, for the recommended four seconds.
Several billionaires also criticized billionaire political spending today. This is the first time I have seen a community moderate itself without a trust and safety team, which is honestly very inspiring for the platform.
Tomorrow is Jeff's tour, 94.7 degrees ambient, and I fully expect to be the most articulate person in the building.
